DeMarcus Cousins: I had never been to California before. Like my first time in California was when I went to Sacramento. Oh, damn. So, once again, I'm envisioning I'm thinking it's LA. I'm thinking palm trees. And who I don't know if there is a palm tree insect, bro. I'm flying in. I'm all out the window like a I'm like, "Where the f*cking palm trees at?" I'm like I don't see nothing but fields. Just farmland. Like I'm like, "This sh*t look like Alabama." Like, "Hey, pilot, where are the Ferraris and the Lamborghinis and sh*t.” No, not one. Q. And you were in the old, old Sacramento. Cousins: Yeah, not the current one, man.

The NFL urges the Court to accept the NBA’s petition to review Salazar v. NBA, a case where the NBA is accused of violating the Video Privacy Protection Act of 1988 (VPPA) because a California man’s data was shared when he watched free videos on NBA.com while logged into his Facebook account. The NBA scored a dismissal of Salazar’s complaint in the Southern District of New York, but last October the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit vacated the dismissal and sent the case back to the trial court.
AFTER BEING PICKED in the second round of the 2014 draft by the Nuggets, Jokic went to the P3 Applied Sports Science lab in Santa Barbara, California, for testing. The then-20-year-old's athleticism results were bleak. Most glaringly, Jokic did a standing vertical leap and only got 17 inches off the ground; the worst recording for any of the 1,000-plus NBA players the lab has ever tested. It'd be an obvious concern for any player, let alone a center who would be tasked with protecting the rim. On top of that, when looking at rotation players who log an average of 2 miles of distance each game, Jokic ranks third-to-last this season in the NBA in terms of how often he's running "fast," doing so just 2.9% of the time, according to Second Spectrum. It would mark the sixth time in a seven-season span that he ranks in the NBA's bottom 10 in speed.
