Coty M. Davis: Trajan Langdon on the addition of Caris LeVert: "The special thing about Caris, you can plug and play him with just about everyone... I am confident that J.B. (Bickerstaff) is going to find a good role for him." #Pistons
Shams Charania: Free agent guard Caris LeVert has agreed to a two-year, $29 million deal with the Detroit Pistons, sources tell ESPN. Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports and the Pistons negotiated terms of a deal that brings backcourt depth and a Michigan return.
Nearing the start of NBA free agency, rumblings circulated within league circles that Detroit was also strongly considering pursuits of Caris LeVert and Duncan Robinson, league sources told HoopsHype.
The Pistons, meanwhile, are strongly expected to focus on signing Caris LeVert away from the Hawks while Sacramento — as we've been reporting for days — is widely expected to come to terms with Detroit's Dennis Schröder on a deal that some are projecting to run for two years and inch toward the $30 million range to become the Kings' starting point guard.

One more positive element for Atlanta is that this deal had a near-zero cost in terms of cap flexibility, adding just $5 million to its cap number. The Hawks will likely re-sign Caris LeVert at something just north of the projected $14.1 million nontaxpayer midlevel exception, but even after that, they are roughly $14 million below the tax line and $22 million below the first apron, where they are now capped as a result of this trade.
Sources say Atlanta has shown a keen interest in retaining free agent guard Caris LeVert after bringing the veteran scorer to the Hawks as part of the return for trading De'Andre Hunter.
When the Hawks look to improve their roster this offseason, they have a couple of priorities to address. One of those is the re-signing of veteran guard Caris LeVert, whom they acquired at the trade deadline in February.
Brown, who represents several NBA stars, including Hawks players Trae Young and Caris LeVert, is being considered for a top executive role in Atlanta’s front office, sources told RG. His client list includes Donovan Mitchell, Jaren Jackson Jr., OG Anunoby, Myles Turner, Jordan Poole, D’Angelo Russell, Nic Claxton, and Payton Pritchard.

Kevin Chouinard: Final: Hawks 124, Sixers 110 Hawks clinch 8-seed for Play-In. Trae Young: 36 points, Caris LeVert: 31 points, Mo Gueye: 10 points, 18 rebounds, 3 steals, 1 block
But the rookie was far from done racking up 23 points by the end of the first half. It’s the fourth time this season that Risacher has scored 20 or more points in a half. He is the only rookie this season to have four 20-point halves. His teammates had bigger ambitions once they noticed what he had accomplished. “Everybody was trying to (tell me they wanted get me a 40 ball),” Risacher, who also had four rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals, said. “Like the first one was Caris (LeVert). I think that was in the third quarter. And he told me, ‘Yeah, we got to get you 40.’ And I looked up, and I was like, ‘Hell, yeah.’ Like, to have a new career high and also, it’s still a win. So it’s just it was a great night, and I’m sure I’ll be able to get 40 when the time’s (right). Just no rush, just trying to play free, trying to play my game every day. And I’m not like, I’m not worried about it.”
Lauren L. Williams: Caris LeVert (illness) and Trae Young (right Achilles tendinitis) are both available tonight in Milwaukee.
