Chris Hine: Sixers say Jaylen Brown is available tonight. Jabari Walker and Tacko Fall also available. The frontcourt gets some help.

Gina Mizell: Unsurprisingly, Joel Embiid and LeBron James are listed as OUT for tonight’s game in Charlotte. Jaylen Brown (knee) is questionable after missing last night’s win over New York. Jabari Walker and Tacko Fall also are questionable, which would provide a needed frontcourt lift.

Kris Rhim: Jaylen Brown is questionable for Friday’s game against the Knicks with left knee soreness, the Sixers announced. Other injury designations: OUT: Tacko Fall (quad), Dominck Barlow (back), Jabari Walker (knee)

Kris Rhim: Big men Jabari Walker (knee), Tacko Fall (quad) and Dominick Barlow (back) are all OUT for Wednesday’s game against the Pacers. Joel Embiid and V.J. Edgecombe don’t have any injury designations.
Gina Mizell: Sixers say VJ Edgecombe and Tacko Fall were full participants in today’s practice. Jabari Walker did individualized work but not with the group.

Khris Rihm: Nick Nurse said C Jabari Walker tweaked his right knee. He had no further update. Walker exited the game in the third quarter and didn’t return. Sixers already thin with front court depth

Chris Hine: Spoke with Jabari Walker about his event promoting the 100 Black Men of Philadelphia and the importance of uplifting the Black community through business opportunities and mentorship: “It’s something that we could use to uplift each other, and we don’t share that message a lot.”

Dave McMenamin: In light of the Ariel Hukporti season-ending Achilles injury, Nick Nurse lists Dean Wade and LeBron James as other options at the 5 - beyond Joel Embiid, Adem Bona, Jabari Walker and Dom Barlow. “We’ll probably go with that crew unless something else emerges”

Jabari Walker: “I like when Joel’s talking crazy and just being competitive. And that’s how you know when Joel feels good. So, Joel’s been competitive and blocking shots and doing what he does, so I’m not worried about him at all.”

Adam Aaronson: Asked Jabari Walker about his summer work. He talked about working on his body, then some skill work. Shot + defense feel better. Asked about Anfernee Simons; Walker called him a "silent assassin." "He can score the ball at a level that is amazing... He's one of the x-factors for us."

Adam Aaronson: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will clear waivers tomorrow. Reminder of the Sixers' options to free up first-apron room for him... - Waive-and-stretch Johni Broome (incur seven ~$300K cap hits) - Trade Johni Broome - Waive Jabari Walker (incur $250K dead cap hit) - Trade Jabari Walker

The Sixers will need to waive a player on a non-guaranteed salary before signing James. Although they have an open roster spot, signing James would put them above the $209 million first apron hard cap. The most straightforward path is waiving either Dalen Terry, who is non-guaranteed, or Jabari Walker, who has a $250,000 partial guarantee. They could also acquire Bronny James with one of their trade exceptions, but they would need to waive the other of Terry and Walker to create the apron space for him.

Gina Mizell: Per the Sixers’ afternoon injury report, Jabari Walker remains OUT for tonight’s game against Portland. Adem Bona and Andre Drummond are both listed as questionable with back issues. Bona played yesterday, and his designation is back injury management on the second game of a back to back.

Derek Bodner: Jabari Walker, asked about how he, normally relatively mild mannered, can get emotive after big rebounds: "I'm quiet around you guys, I keep it professional. But the people that really know me, I'm actually kind of crazy. I talk a lot. Something's really wrong with me."
