Ian Begley: Landry Shamet, OG Anunoby & Josh Hart combined for 68 pts on 25-for-39 shooting in NYK's win over Lakers. Knicks have won 6 in a row following 2-9 stretch. NYK defense held LAL to 44 pts in 2nd half. Jalen Brunson had off shooting night but handed out 13 assists & had 0 turnovers
Brooklyn Nets guard Egor Demin set an NBA rookie record Friday night by making a 3-pointer in his 34th straight game. Demin set the record on the first basket for the Nets against the Utah Jazz. He finished 6 for 12 from long distance, scoring 25 points and collecting 10 rebounds in a 109-99 victory for Brooklyn. Three of those long distance baskets came in the fourth quarter to help the Nets pull away late. "There's a reason why we drafted him," Brooklyn coach Jordie Fernandez said. “We believed that (his) shooting was NBA shooting and he's proven it from the beginning.” Demin entered Friday's game tied with Portland's Rudy Fernandez (2008-09) and Philadelphia's Landry Shamet (2018-19).

"We've been in the midst of a pretty rough stretch and it's not about just one game right now. There's got to be a continual pursuit for us getting better and growing," swingman Landry Shamet said. "So, fourth-quarter blowout, cool, whatever. It's an opportunity against a talented NBA team to build and grow on some of the things that we're trying to grow on and get better at. So kudos to our guys continuing to carry the standard and finish out the right way."

Ian Begley: Knicks hold Nets NBA season-low 66 points and win by a franchise-high 54 points. Much-needed victory for NYK, which had dropped 9 of 11 coming into tonight. Six Knicks had at least 11 points; Landry Shamet had 18 pts off the bench, hitting all six of his 3-point attempts

Landry Shamet returned from a 25-game absence and scored six points in 16 minutes in the Knicks’ 126-113 loss to the Warriors on Thursday night. It was Shamet’s first appearance since his shoulder was dislodged from its socket on Nov. 22. He shot 2 for 7 (all 3-pointers) with a steal but no rebounds or assists. “He worked his tail off. Landry, he’s a worker, man,” Knicks coach Mike Brown said. “He was getting after it. It means a lot for him to play. He was in a great rhythm before he [got hurt]. He’s been out a while. It’s going to take some time for him to get back. But it’s exciting for him to be back and we’re going to be patient with him while he’s fighting to get back to where he was.”
