Chris Hine: TJ Shannon on Wembanyama: "He’s gonna have to block it every time. I ain’t gonna stop going downhill. I told him that when he said a little something after he blocked my second one, but he got to block it every time, and I know he ain’t gonna block it every single time."

Kyle Theige: In his first two playoff starts, Terrence Shannon Jr. has played a combined 70 minutes, scored a total of 40 points, and tallied ZERO turnovers.

The Timberwolves had six players finish with double figures in scoring, and the team countered a historic effort from Wembanyama, whose 12 blocks were the most in a playoff game since the stat became official in the 1973-74 season. Julius Randle led the Wolves with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Terrence Shannon Jr., who started in place of Edwards, added 16 points and five rebounds.

MrBuckBuck: The last moments of game 6 - Timberwolves vs. Nuggets, as the Wolves win the game, and the series 4-2. Including postgame interview on the court with Jaden McDaniels and Terrence Shannon Jr. McDaniels and Jokic weren't even looking at each other, no dap or anything.

Dane Moore: Chris Finch said after Game 5 that Terrence Shannon Jr.'s minutes were limited in Game 5 due to gameplan mistakes. Finch was asked at practice today how he goes about helping Shannon clean that up. "I don't clean that up. He cleans it up. It starts with gotta be ready, he's gotta be engaged, he's gotta be fully committed to that side of the ball... The only way I can clean him up is to sit him on the bench, right? That's the only way I can clean it up. He knows what we need from him right now. So he's gotta be ready, and he's gotta be ready to execute defensively. There's no reason that he shouldn't be a good defender with his body type, with his athleticism, and he's a pretty smart player."

Charlie Walton: An illness bug has hit the Wolves’ locker room. Jaylen Clark and Terrence Shannon Jr. pop up, and they are questionable tonight. Anthony Edwards (right knee) remains questionable.

NBA Communications: Other nominees... West: Deni Avdija (POR), Kevin Durant and Amen Thompson (HOU), and Terrence Shannon Jr. (MIN) East: Paolo Banchero (ORL), Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns (NYK), and Jalen Duren (DET)

Paolo Banchero had 20 points, eight rebounds and six assists as the Orlando Magic beat the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves 132-120 on Wednesday for their fourth consecutive victory. Desmond Bane scored 18 points and Franz Wagner added 17 for Orlando (44-36), which moved into seventh place in the tight Eastern Conference standings, one-half game ahead of the Philadelphia 76ers (43-36) with two games remaining. Goga Bitadze had 14 points and a season-high 15 rebounds, Tristan da Silva added 12 points, and Jalen Suggs and Jevon Carter finished with 11 apiece. Orlando led by as many as 24 in the third quarter and completed a two-game season sweep against the Wolves. Terrence Shannon Jr. set career highs with five 3-pointers and 33 points for short-handed Minnesota (47-33), which clinched the sixth position in the Western Conference on Tuesday. Jaden McDaniels returned after missing six games with a knee injury and scored 18 points in 19 minutes. Naz Reid had 15 points and Donte DiVincenzo added 12.

Then Houston’s Kevin Durant got fouled with 3.3 seconds left — only to miss the front end. The Wolves couldn’t secure the rebound as Durant missed the second before Terrence Shannon Jr., who hadn’t played all night to that point, broke up the inbound pass to clinch the craziest victory of the season. “How we came together at the end, it was getting a little shaky there,” said Donte DiVincenzo (17 points). “It kind of seemed like the nail in the coffin, and that’s when we regrouped, that’s when we see what everybody is made of, and everybody responded.” In the process, the Wolves became the first team since at least 2002-03 (as far back as play-by-play data goes) to win a game after trailing by 13 or more points in overtime. It was also, dating to the 1996-97 season, the largest overtime comeback in NBA history.

Terrence Shannon Jr, who has missed the last eight games with a left foot abductor hallucis strain, has continued to make progress through his return-to-play rehabilitation program. He will remain as out and further updates of his progress will be provided when available.

Anthony Chiang: Timberwolves injury report for tomorrow's game vs. Heat: Out: Enrique Freeman, Terrence Shannon Jr. and Rocco Zikarsky. Rest of Minnesota's roster is expected to be available against the Heat.

Jon Krawczynski: Rudy Gobert on Terrence Shannon's 3-point shooting: "The whole team is behind him, telling him to let it fly. It’s great when he does that. That, with his ability to attack the rim, is a very, very dangerous weapon for us."
