In two years as a professional, Holmes has learned a great deal. Despite this being his rookie season on the court, he’s picked up on how quickly life can come at you. “Anything can happen, from being down in Grand Rapids to being here now to anything,” Holmes said. “Just staying locked in and always being ready for anything. Listening to the guys, the vets, the coaches, all that stuff matters. The little things you do on your days where you think you're not gonna play still matter.” “He told me, 'Rome wasn't built in a day,’” Holmes revealed. “Don't focus on always the big picture all the time. Just take things one step at a time, and everything will come together."
