Bruce Springsteen has sold off one of his Rumson homes to Newark native and NBA player Randy Foye for $1.737 million, according to Monmouth County records and Zillow.com. The 4-acre property on Bellevue Avenue was not listed on the open market, but Zillow says the deal closed on April 25. Monmouth County records show Foye and Springsteen's trustees signed a contract to purchase the home in February. RedBankGreen.com first reported the transaction.

Asked after today's practice in Auburn Hills whether he had an opinion on the matter, Van Gundy was staunch. "I do have an opinion on that," he replied. "That game should be moved if they don't change that law. I'm really proud Bruce Springsteen moved his concert. ... "Look, we are in 2016, and the idea, for any reason you conjure up, that you have the right to discriminate against people ... I think it's against what we stand for. I think the league should take a stand. I don't think the All-Star Game should be there if they don't change the law." .

Sarunas Jasikevicius: I thought I could be a rather important piece of a team that was thinking big. Meanwhile, I continued to goof around, thinking I could get in shape once in the training camp. Instead… I got injured. How? In a crazy way. I love going to concerts, and Barcelona is unrivaled in Europe when it comes to live music. I went to see Madonna, Rihanna, 50 Cent, Julio Iglesias (old family passion), Bruce Springsteen… and then U2 came to town in August 2005. It was the birthday of the wife of my friend Darius Maskoliunas. We had a late lunch at the Port Olimpic and then we went to the concert together. I sang, I danced, and I jumped. That’s it… I jumped. And the next day, I could not even walk. I had to take the medical exam with the Pacers, and arriving in these conditions was certainly not a great start. I could not even do the treadmill, let alone running. Despite this, the Pacers’ medical staff surprised me.

Most days rap wins the day, though Wednesdays are reserved for rock and heavy metal (and thus called "White Boy Wednesdays"). "I have to get on him a little bit to widen his arsenal of music," Bogut said, laughing. "No one will like it [but] I want my day. I listen to a lot of old rock and roll, old school rock and roll, some late '70s, '80s rock, [Bruce] Springsteen. And I listen to a bunch of Croatian music. I definitely can't put the Croatian on, because people will stop practicing and leave the gym. But I think the rock might pass."

Stan Van Gundy took a question about the Detroit Pistons' vote on NBA draft lottery reform and turned it into a compelling lobby against maximum individual salaries for NBA players, which he deemed anti-competitive for elite players and teams alike. "They don't say to Bruce Springsteen, 'You can only get 25 percent of the proceeds and 75 percent's got to go to the E Street Band.' I mean, that's not the way it works," Van Gundy said Wednesday.

Obviously, Dirk Nowitzki + Bruce Springsteen + karaoke was destined to be a winning formula from the idea's conception, but the fact that Dirk very clearly doesn't even have a passing familiarity with the lyrics of "Born in the USA" makes this a championship-level performance. My best guess at transcribing Dirk's attempt: Bored down in the dead mouse style ANALYSIS: Pretty close ("Born down in the dead man's town"). So far, off to a good start. Mleh vlah Carolina he null hair heeeenh ANALYSIS: OK, we got kind of sidetracked here ("The first kick I took was when I hit the ground"). Still a couple of lines left in the opening verse to get back on target, though. Very nut, hazy preach of what ANALYSIS: We still haven't located the thread ("You end up like a dog that's been beat too much"), but we've got the general rhyme scheme and tone back, which is good. Seldom chuh, ha, hoof duh, don't you cover it up now ANALYSIS: Really rough start ("Till you spend half your life just covering up") but a strong finish.

"It's absurd that he has let all these kids down," says Joey Kratt, whose 7-year-old son Donovan had registered to go to the Dwight Howard youth basketball camp. That's right, there will be a Dwight Howard youth basketball camp next week in Orlando except there is one small problem: Dwight Howard won't actually be there. Instead Andrew Nicholson, the Magic's first-round draft pick, will fill in for him. With all due respect to Nicholson, this is like buying tickets to see the E Street Band and Justin Bieber is filling in for Springsteen.
