Gina Mizell: Jared McCain is not going to be on the summer league roster, as he continues to recover from his knee surgery. Still a good chance he travels to Vegas/SLC to be around the team, however.
Ace Bailey: What were your first 24 hours like in Salt Lake? Ace: “Came straight to the gym. Beautiful scenery—I didn’t think the mountains were real. Just great meeting the coaches.”
Sarah Todd: Forgot to mention last night that I confirmed with Austin Ainge that all the Jazz 2025 picks are expected to play in SLC and Vegas summer league.

KC Johnson: Bulls list Josh Giddey as questionable vs. Suns. Billy Donovan said on Monday in Salt Lake City that Giddey was trending towards playing in one of the B2B games Weds/Thurs vs. Kings. For Suns, Bradley Beal, Grayson Allen and Mason Plumlee are out.
Dave McMenamin: JJ Redick says “the plan would be for them to be available” when asked about LeBron and Luka playing in Salt Lake City on Wednesday, prior to the All-Star break.
Scott Agness: Pacers begin a four-game road trip tonight in Salt Lake City... and they'll be without starting center Myles Turner. He's ruled out due to a right peroneal strain — the outside of the ankle. It'll be his fourth missed game this season.
Gobert played in the two teams’ first meeting at the Delta Center in December 2022 — a 118-108 Minnesota win — but has missed the last three games between the Jazz and Timberwolves in Salt Lake City. On Thursday, he scored 16 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and had five assists and four blocked shots in his return to Utah. “I think it’s always a great feeling for me, just landing on the plane and seeing the people and seeing the love and just also the energy,” Gobert said pregame. “I mean, it feels like home always. And again, it’s always short (being in Salt Lake City) during the season, but it’s always great.”
Shams Charania: Two-time All-Star Isaiah Thomas is pursuing another NBA return, signing into the G League and rejoining the Utah Jazz's Salt Lake City affiliate, sources tell ESPN. Last season, Thomas averaged 33 points in four G League games en route to a call up to the Suns.

Jim Owczarski: So, after Tyler Smith had a whirlwind Saturday going from Oshkosh-Milwaukee-Chicago-Los Angeles, the #Bucks have just recalled Chris Livingston from the Herd. The team is traveling to Salt Lake City today, Portland after tomorrow's game.
Sensabaugh credited the Jazz coaching staff, led by Hardy, for helping him develop early in his career. Staying in Salt Lake City for his first NBA offseason and working closely with the coaching staff have enabled him to continue progressing. “They've been transparent with what they want from us. We have a bunch of meetings and conversations outside of practice to clarify things,” Sensabaugh explained to RG. “Being around the whole summer and getting our real work in Utah has helped a lot, especially for the young guys. We know what the coaches want, and if we keep building together, I think we can be special for sure.”
Multiple league sources have relayed to me that the Pelicans and Jazz were deep in talks which were shut down by Ingram's lack of desire to re-sign in Salt Lake City. This is important info, because it highlights that money is not presumably everything for Ingram. I do think it was in his best interests to just take the money, however. The cap landscape for next summer is a harsh one. Only the Brooklyn Nets project to have signficiant cap space, which will undoubtedly limit the number of Ingram suitors at the dollar figure he is seeking.
Injured star Luka Doncic will join the Dallas Mavericks on their upcoming trip, which starts Saturday in Salt Lake City against the Utah Jazz. After sitting out the past five games because of an injured wrist, Doncic returned to practice with his teammates Friday and "looked good," according to coach Jason Kidd. Doncic is officially listed as doubtful for Saturday's game; Dallas plays the Trail Blazers in Portland, Oregon on Sunday.
