Miller addressed the media after being asked how the process was coming after the injury. “I don't know when I'll be back fully. Probably a few months,” Miller said. “Right now we're just taking everything slow, not trying to rush anything back. Right now we're working on range in motion. I think that's the most important part right now. I can't shoot, can't do nothing. Taking the small steps until we get back playing.”
Scott Agness: Myles Turner (illness) and Bennedict Mathurin (left calf soreness) have been upgraded to questionable for Wednesday v Hornets. Tony Bradley (illness) is out. No LaMelo Ball, Tre Mann, Brandon Miller or Grant Williams for CHA.
"We think this is going to be the best practice facility in the league," Hornets co-owner Rick Schnall said. "It's going to have facilities that free agents will want to come and play with us, our players will want to stay and be here, and we'll be able to develop our players into stars over time." Among those on hand for the ceremony were former Hornets players Muggsy Bogues and Kemba Walker, the franchise's all-time leading scorer. Several current players including LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller also attended.
Mark Williams is obviously back with the Hornets after the Lakers rescinded their February trade for the Charlotte big man, but some rival executives expect the Williams trade market to be re-explored this summer. The Hornets have tried to shut down similar speculation about star guard LaMelo Ball, but the reality remains that Williams, Ball and Brandon Miller have managed to appear in the same game just 18 times over the past two seasons.

That raises the obvious question: What about LaMelo Ball? Sources said the Hornets have no interest in moving on from their star guard. But setting aside the questions about Williams moving forward after the rescinded trade, the Hornets have Miller, their upcoming lottery pick and this year's lottery selection, Tidjane Salaun, all as building blocks moving forward. Ball, meanwhile, is already on his second contract. That alone makes it an interesting situation to monitor moving forward. "LaMelo is the question there," the scout said.
I thought maybe LaMelo Ball could have been traded at the deadline, but from what I was told, LaMelo Ball is still a part of this team’s future. He’s a foundational piece. Mark Williams was not deemed that. I think part of the reason they moved on was the injury concerns. How long can we wait for LaMelo Ball, who has been injured? Brandon Miller is out for the season. How much can you wait when the three core players you’re counting on have played a grand total of 16 games together?
NBA Communications: Dunn is replacing Philadelphia 76ers rookie Jared McCain. Black, Camara and Thompson are replacing NBA sophomores Dereck Lively II of the Dallas Mavericks, Brandon Miller of the Charlotte Hornets and Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs.
