The Charlotte Bobcats announced they will play regional preseason home games this year in Asheville and Greensboro. The Bobcats will host the Atlanta Hawks on Oct. 8 at Asheville's U.S. Cellular Center. They will play the Dallas Mavericks on Oct. 19 at the Greensboro Coliseum.

Bobcats Sports & Entertainment and University of North Carolina Asheville officials announced today that the Charlotte Bobcats will hold their 2012 Training Camp at Kimmel Arena on the campus of UNC Asheville. “Kimmel Arena is a new, state-of-the-art venue that will be an ideal place for our players and coaches to prepare for the coming season,” said Bobcats President of Basketball Operations Rod Higgins. "We look forward to utilizing all of the various amenities UNC Asheville has to offer, and we thank Coach Biedenbach and Coach Kirkpatrick for opening their facilities to us."
