One of Detroit's biggest sports fans is interested in joining the city's bid to land a WNBA franchise. Eminem, the 15-time Grammy-winning rapper, has had discussions about joining the high-profile investor group that already includes Pistons owner Tom Gores, Lions owner Sheila Ford Hamp, General Motors CEO Mary Barra, Lions quarterback Jared Goff, Fab Five legend Chris Webber, former Piston Grant Hill and Denise Ilitch, among others.
A spokesperson confirmed Eminem's interest to The News on Wednesday. "He has expressed interest, and there have been discussions, but nothing has been finalized," said Dennis Dennehy, a longtime spokesperson for Eminem, 52, a big Detroit sports fan who regularly attends Lions games.

Now a musician who wraps under the name G3, his latest track “Tweaker” is legitimately good. Already played in NBA locker rooms (including the Bulls and Cavs) as well as NFL locker rooms (including the Lions), this song has garnered more than 2.7 million listens on YouTube since it debuted on WorldStarHipHop. It is the number one trending song on YouTube music (ahead of artists such as Tyler, The Creator as well as Lil Baby, Bad Bunny, and Drake). There is a deeply nostalgic feeling to this track that is reminding many listeners of what hip-hop sounded like in the early 2000s, which is one of the reasons it is such an immediate hit.
Add in the fact that Brown had been highly critical of Fox the night before, when Fox’s defensive lapse against Detroit cost the Kings the game and sparked criticism from his coach in the postgame news conference, and all the signs seemed to be pointing in one direction. Fox has defended himself in recent days, both on X and in an interview with ESPN. League sources confirmed his stance, with Brown himself known to believe that Fox had nothing to do with the decision and that Ranadivé was the driving force behind it.

Locked away in a basement, not yet made for sale, there is a vintage T-shirt that, on its surface, looks like a teal-era Pistons item from the 1990s. However, when you look at the back of the shirt, it shows a drawing of a Lions quarterback throwing a pass to a wide receiver. Nearby is a black Pistons T-shirt that has a caricature drawing of Rick Mahorn but reads “Joe Dumas” underneath it. On the back, there’s a caricature of Vinnie “The Microwave” Johnson that properly states his name, but if you turn the shirt inside out, there is a caricature of John “The Spider” Salley with his name properly spelled. “I don’t even know what to price stuff like this at,” Cohen said with a laugh.

Ian Begley: Knicks are listing OG Anunoby as out for Monday's game against Detroit. Counting Monday, Anunoby will have missed four games due to what the Knicks say is injury maintenance on his surgically-repaired right elbow. Anunoby had surgery to address the elbow ailment in early February. He returned to the court last week after an 18-game absence. In his second game back, Anunoby appeared to aggravate the elbow injury. He played in the Knicks' next game (Saturday at SAC) but was ruled out for the following game at Golden State.
