Tim Connelly just can never ever get KD interested. He tried several times in Denver to lure the DMV native and could never get traction. Minnesota makes the most sense for both teams. League sources have said the Nets were brought in as a potential third-team in a deal construct, which would have helped move money and contracts to help both teams reshape their rosters. (No idea what they were getting or sending, but I would speculatively bet Nic Claxton to Phoenix was part of those talks.)
Brown, who represents several NBA stars, including Hawks players Trae Young and Caris LeVert, is being considered for a top executive role in Atlanta’s front office, sources told RG. His client list includes Donovan Mitchell, Jaren Jackson Jr., OG Anunoby, Myles Turner, Jordan Poole, D’Angelo Russell, Nic Claxton, and Payton Pritchard.
Nic Claxton said his back issues persisted the entire season, but should not need any procedure this summer. “Yeah I still need to get right. It’s still bothering me honestly. But we got the whole offseason. I was still able to play 70 games, so that’s a blessing,” Claxton said. “So, I have time to lock in on it this summer. “I’m going to get it right. I’ve got a plan. No surgeries or anything though.”
Michael Scotto: Nic Claxton on his back: “I still need to get right. It’s still bothering me. We’ve got the whole offseason. I was still able to play 70 games. That’s a blessing being able to do that 3 years in a row. I don’t take it for granted.” Claxton said he doesn’t expect to need surgery.

Nic Claxton’s layup beat the buzzer — and beat the 76ers, 105-103, on Saturday night in a play he called one of the highlights of his career. The Nets center put back a Keon Johnson miss, an acrobatic shot that just barely beat the clock and subsequently saw him “mobbed” by Ziaire Williams, Trendon Watford and the rest of the Nets before a stunned sellout crowd of 20,431. “Originally, I didn’t even know that I did beat the buzzer, so I was just trying to process everything, and I was just looking in the crowd, just looking around. And I was like, ‘I think it was good.’ And everybody came and just mobbed me. It was a great feeling, a great feeling,” said Claxton. “It’s definitely top three [moments of my career]. All the years I’ve been hooping, it’s definitely three or two.”
Derek Bodner: Tyrese Maxey hit a corner 3 in transition to tie the game at 103, but then Nic Claxton hit an incredible tip-in at the buzzer to give Brooklyn the 105-103 win. The loss is the Sixers' 7th straight defeat as they fall to a season-worst 16 games below .500.
Erik Slater: Nic Claxton on fans wanting the Nets to tank this season: “It’s a part of the business. We’re not naïve to it... We're gonna go out and try to win every game... But I understand where the fans are coming from. I feel why they would want us to lose this year... But we wanna win.” pic.x.com/g7ADdRRoZK
