Bobby Marks: The leaders in fast break points this season: 1. LeBron James 2. Tyrese Maxey 3. Giannis 4. Kawhi Leonard 5. Donovan Mitchell

Justin Martinez: Jared McCain on if he has played alongside a big man who can make screening a highlight play like Isaiah Hartenstein: “It’s crazy. When I was in Philly, Joel would do that with Tyrese and I was like ‘Dang, that’s really cool right there.’ So being able to be a part of it is really fun. Playing with Hart, J-Will and Chet, they’re all elite bigs. I’m excited to play with them.”

Tom Haberstroh: The Philadelphia 76ers just did something crazy. First time in NBA history that a team has won consecutive games despite making 10+ FEWER 3s than their opponent in each game. (per @Stathead) And did it without Maxey/Embiid/PG.

"Just the development, understanding the dynamic of the league, because it’s not easy playing next to an elite guard for a guard who is really talented--it isn’t always the easiest thing to do," Bickerstaff added. "You gotta figure out where you get your spots, where you get your touches, but I think he’s done a very good job of playing with that balance of understanding like how good Tyrese Maxey is and how he can play next to him and find his spots to get his as well, but he definitely has a bright future, and he’s gonna be a tough challenge and a tough matchup for a long time."

With that being said, the Sixers are dealing with a lot of similar problems that have derailed their seasons in the past. Embiid is dealing with a variety of injuries, Maxey is dealing with a finger injury that will keep him sidelined until April, Oubre will miss two weeks, and George still has six more games to serve on his 25-game suspension. "It’s outside noise for a reason," he added. "Whoever is saying whatever, they can't step foot on an NBA court and do anything we do. They can't come out here and make shots for us. I think it's totally different. So, like I said, we're focused on winning. We just want to win."

Omari Sankofa II: Ausar Thompson (right ankle sprain) will miss his fourth straight game tomorrow vs the Sixers. Caris LeVert (left wrist sprain) is doubtful. Chaz Lanier (G League Assignment) is questionable. Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, Paul George and Kelly Oubre are all out for Philly.

Shams Charania: Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey has been diagnosed with a tendon injury in his right pinkie finger and will be re-evaluated in three weeks, sources tell ESPN. Maxey received additional images and specialist reviews after injuring his right hand Saturday in Atlanta.

Bobby Marks: Maxey has played 61 games this season. He is 4 games short of the eligibility requirement for All-NBA honors. Maxey ranks 4th in scoring and 1st in minutes played.

Austin Krell: Nick Nurse says Tyrese Maxey has met with "a couple" of specialists about his hand. Update expected postgame.

Ky Carlin: Injury report vs. MEM today: OUT: Joel Embiid (right oblique strain), Tyrese Maxey (right finger sprain) QUESTIONABLE: VJ Edgecombe (lumbar contusion) #Sixers

Bobby Marks: For their game tonight at Cleveland, the 76ers have 81% of their current salaries on the sidelines: - Joel Embiid: $55.2M - Paul George: $51.7M - Tyrese Maxey: $38M - VJ Edgecombe: $11.1M

With Maxey sidelined, that means more responsibility for Cam Payne who will take over the ball-handling duties with Maxey sidelined for the time being. "Just staying ready," Payne said at shootaround. "Be ready for whatever situation. Make sure I’m locked in on the game plan and do everything I need to be doing out there on the court. Make sure I get everybody involved and go play hard."
